Tilda Quilt

I haven't finished a quilt in over a year, but I have started on quite a few... This week I made this simple quilt using Tonne Finnegar's Tilda fabrics mixed with some Tanya Whelan prints.

Little Red Riding Hood Baby Quilt

I really enjoyed making this baby quilt.  It made me realise how much I have missed sewing and hope this will keep me inspired to start another project. Fabrics used are designed by  Tasha Noel, called Little Red Riding Hood for Riley Blake Designs.

YAY! I have found my sewing mojo again and I've started to make a baby quilt using Tasha Noel's new fabric called ''Little Red Riding Hood'' for Riley Blake Designs.  This collection of prints are just adorable and can't wait to make more things out of it... 

YAY! Labyrinth Quilt Finished!

It's always such an awesome feeling to finish a quilt, whether it took me a year to make or just a few days, there is just something really satisfying quilting that last stitch.  Last night I finished my Labyrinth quilt, which means I can start on another one today!  

This quilt was made using Red Pepper's Labyrinth quilt pattern. I can highly recommend her patterns, just so easy to follow and great photos. Fabrics used for this quilt are a mix of Denyse Schmidt, Heather Ross and Aneela Hoye beautiful fabrics!

I finished all the blocks of the Labyrinth quilt this morning, now the fun begins; putting it all together!

I'm about to start a new quilt, using one of Red Pepper Quilt's pattern, called Labyrinth, which you can find here.  The fabrics I will use is a mix of Heather Ross, Denyse Schmidt and Annela Hoey.  I'm hoping it will turn out as I'm imagining it to!  

Just Stay Little Quilt - yet to be finished!

I just adore Sarah Jane's ''Children At Play'' collection.  So much so that I just had to make a quilt for our guest bed in the kitchen!  

Here is the finished quilt top, now I just need to put it together and quilt it! 

Far Far Away Quilt for Mia

I been holding on to my little fat quarter stash of Far Far Away fabrics from Heather Ross, not knowing what to make and feeling too scared to even cut the gorgeous prints...  I finally did it and here is a quilt for my daughter Mia!  

Wild Thing Quilt 2

I made one of these quilts two years ago for a little boy turning 5 and decided to make another one, this one for an old friend turning 40!  

Boys' Hullabaloo Quilt

The Hullabaloo Quilts are coming along nicely!  Here is the second one finished.  This one in Red, Lime, Grey and White - all from Urban Chiks' Hullabaloo collection.  For the backing I used a Riley Blake print in White and Lime polka dots which matched perfectly.

Here is the next quilt top finished. I'm just trying to find the right backing fabric to use, hopefully should have this one done by the end of the day.

a quilt for Macey

Our friends had a little baby girl last week.  They named her Macey and this quilt is for her!  I hope she will like it!  

Fabrics used are Urban Chiks' Hullabaloo collection and backing from their Sweet collection.

Today I will start cutting three new quilts and here are the fabrics that I'm going to use:

I only have a Fat Quarter of each of these beautiful prints, so I will be somewhat limited to what I will do, but that is also the fun part!  

a Little Mermaid Quilt

Today I finished the Mendocino Mermaids Quilt.  It's a cot / crib size baby quilt without binding or borders in pink, purple, yellow and orange.  

Fabrics used are Heather Ross Mendocino fabrics, Denyse Schmidt's Hope Valley and some of Erin McMorris Park Slope collection.

YAY! Quilt top is finished! Oh NO!!! Out of batting... I will have to make a trip down to the sewing shop tomorrow and stock up! Which means I can start cutting the next quilt now!

My little Mia is very interesting in sewing too, here she is helping me put together the pieces for the quilt we are making!

Mendocino Quilt

Here are some of the fabrics I will use for the next quilt I'm making. They are mostly from Heather Ross' Mendocino collection! I've had these fabrics for a long time and today I just felt like using them!

1930's reproduction prints Baby Quilt

My latest baby quilt was made using 1930's reproduction prints by Windham fabrics, Story Book.  I just love these little prints!  

Pinwheel Quilt

I finished this quilt last November, but somehow forgot to add it to my blog, so here it is!  

The quilt is a Pinwheel Quilt with mostly Moda Recess fabric, but also some Flea Market Fancy & Michael Miller ''Rockets''.  For backing I used an IKEA Numbers fabric which I just love.  I used Michael Miller ''Ta Dot'' for binding.  


I used Thimble Blossoms "WILD THING" pattern but added borders to each block.

I finished this baby quilt yesterday using Aneela Hoey's Pickledish Quilt pattern.  It was a fun pattern to work with and now I'm thinking of attempting a larger one.  Like most quilters, there is always an endless amount of scraps left over, which is all this quilt needs!
